Two worlds that rarely meet – and that's exactly the point.
Famedo doesn't begin in a startup office, but in a kitchen. The developer grows up in a restaurant environment – among cooking pots, ringing phones and handwritten order slips. Later he works in various businesses himself: in service, in the kitchen, at the register. He knows the small daily friction points first-hand: misread addresses, missed calls during the rush hour, expensive commissions to big portals, inflexible systems that always jam somewhere.
In parallel, a second passion grows: computer science. Tinkering with computers on the side turns into a degree, and the degree into a second craft. Two worlds that rarely meet in everyday life – a hot stove on one side, a code editor on the other.
Exactly this combination is the core of Famedo. Someone at home in both worlds sees problems that pure software vendors never notice – and finds solutions that pure restaurateurs could never build. Instead of building a standard product for restaurants, a system emerged that is tested every day in a real business. What's annoying gets fixed. What works stays.
The result is not off-the-shelf software, but an ordering system that understands how the restaurant business really works – because it's built by someone who knows both sides.
